At Safari Market, we are committed to bringing the authentic tastes of Africa and the Caribbean directly to your doorstep. We understand how important it is to receive your groceries fresh and on time.

Delivery Areas

We currently offer delivery services throughout Canada. Delivery availability and fees may vary based on your location and distance from our Saskatoon facility.

Local Delivery (Saskatoon & Area): Orders within Saskatoon and surrounding areas within 50km of our store location qualify for expedited local delivery options.

Provincial Delivery (Saskatchewan): We deliver to all major centers and communities throughout Saskatchewan.

National Delivery (Canada-wide): We ship to all provinces and territories across Canada. Please note that delivery times for remote locations may be extended.

Delivery Fees

Our delivery fees are calculated based on your location, order size, and delivery speed:

  • Saskatoon Local Delivery: Starting at $8.99
  • Saskatchewan Provincial: Starting at $15.99
  • Other Provinces: Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination
  • Free Delivery: Available on orders over $150 within Saskatoon, and over $250 for Saskatchewan deliveries

Delivery fees will be clearly displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Delivery Timeframes

Standard Delivery:

  • Saskatoon & Area: 1-2 business days
  • Saskatchewan: 2-4 business days
  • Other Provinces: 4-7 business days

Express Delivery (Saskatoon only):

  • Same-Day Delivery: Available for orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) CST
  • Next-Day Delivery: Available for orders placed before 6:00 PM CST

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, courier delays, or high-volume periods.

Perishable Items

We take special care when shipping perishable items such as fresh produce, frozen goods, meat, and dairy products.

Temperature-Controlled Packaging: Perishable items are packed with ice packs and insulated materials to maintain freshness during transit. For longer-distance shipments, we use specialized packaging to ensure products arrive in optimal condition.

Delivery Requirements:

  • Someone must be available to receive perishable orders
  • We recommend scheduling delivery when you will be home
  • If you will not be available, please provide special delivery instructions at checkout

Shipping Restrictions: Certain highly perishable items may not be available for shipping to distant locations. These restrictions will be clearly indicated on product pages.

Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 24 hours of receipt. You will receive an email confirmation when:

  • Your order is received
  • Your order is being prepared
  • Your order has been shipped
  • Your order is out for delivery

Delivery Methods

Courier Delivery: Most orders are delivered by trusted courier partners who specialize in food and grocery deliveries.

Own Fleet Delivery (Saskatoon only): Local Saskatoon orders may be delivered by our own delivery team.

In-Store Pickup: You may choose to pick up your order at our store location at 120 Apex Street, Saskatoon. Orders are typically ready for pickup within 4 hours of placement for local customers. You will receive a notification when your order is ready.

Delivery Hours

Standard delivery hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sunday deliveries may be available in select areas.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to monitor your delivery status.

Delivery Issues

Missing or Delayed Deliveries: If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact our customer service team at 306-374-0411 or email support@safarimarket.ca. We will work with our courier partners to locate your package.

Damaged Items: If your delivery arrives damaged, please take photos of the packaging and damaged items immediately. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery, and we will arrange for a replacement or refund.

Failed Delivery Attempts: If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address information or unavailability, the courier will make up to three delivery attempts. After the third failed attempt, the order will be returned to our facility. Redelivery fees may apply.

Special Delivery Instructions

At checkout, you may provide special instructions for delivery, such as:

  • Gate codes or building access information
  • Preferred delivery location (front door, side entrance, etc.)
  • Contact information for delivery coordination
  • Safe drop-off location if you will not be home

Please note that we cannot guarantee accommodation of all special requests, particularly for orders delivered by third-party couriers.

International Shipping

At this time, we only ship within Canada. We do not offer international shipping services.

Order Modifications

Once an order has been placed, we begin processing it immediately. If you need to modify your delivery address or delivery date, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has shipped.

Holidays and Peak Periods

During holidays and peak shopping periods, delivery times may be extended. We will communicate any expected delays on our website and via email. We recommend placing orders early during these times to ensure timely delivery.

Unattended Deliveries

For non-perishable items, you may request unattended delivery. However, Safari Market is not responsible for orders left unattended that are stolen, damaged by weather, or otherwise compromised after delivery has been completed.

For perishable items, signature upon delivery is required to ensure food safety and quality.
